Tiny Tots Recruitment is recruiting for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join an established early years setting in Greater Manchester.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for an experienced early years professional who is confident supporting a team, maintaining high standards and stepping up to lead the nursery whenever required.
The setting is part of an independent, family-run nursery group that places a strong emphasis on staff development and creating nurturing environments where children can build confidence, independence and curiosity.
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager while having real responsibility of your own.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day leadership of the setting Taking responsibility for the nursery in the Manager's absence Providing guidance and support to Room Leaders and practitioners Helping maintain consistently high standards of care and education Ensuring practice remains in line with the EYFS Supporting staff deployment and the smooth organisation of the nursery day Coaching and developing members of the early years team Monitoring children's experiences and the quality of practice across rooms Building strong and professional relationships with parents and carers Supporting safeguarding and ensuring procedures are followed consistently Helping maintain accurate records, policies and regulatory requirements Supporting staff inductions, supervisions and ongoing development Promoting inclusive practice throughout the nursery Contributing ideas and helping drive continuous improvement Acting as a positive role model for the wider team
What we're looking for:
A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification as a minimum Strong experience within a nursery or early years environment Previous Deputy Manager, Third in Charge, Room Leader or similar leadership experience Excellent understanding of the EYFS Strong safeguarding knowledge Confidence supporting and developing other practitioners Good organisational and decision-making skills Strong communication skills with staff and families The ability to step into management responsibility when required Someone ambitious who wants to continue developing as an early years leader
