Nursery Practitioner

Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner

Hornchurch, London full time Permanent

£27,000 to £29,000 per year

£27,000 to £29,000, flexible working hours and a nursery that will fund your EDUCARE training and First Aid qualification. This permanent Early Years Practitioner role in Hornchurch is open to Level 2 and Level 3 practitioners and offers spacious rooms, substantial outdoor provision and opportunities to keep developing professionally.

You don't have to be Level 3 to be taken seriously here.

If you've completed your Level 2 Early Years qualification and you're ready for a permanent role where you can keep developing, this nursery wants to hear from you.

Already Level 3? Even better.

Tiny Tots Recruitment is recruiting Level 2 and Level 3 Early Years Practitioners in Hornchurch to join an experienced childcare team supporting children from babies through to preschool.

And unlike plenty of adverts that tell you the salary is "competitive", this employer has actually published it:

£27,000 to £29,000 per year.

What you'd be walking into

The nursery has been part of the Hornchurch community for more than 20 years and divides its provision according to children's stages of development.

For its youngest children, there is a dedicated Baby Nest with areas for stories, construction, small-world play and role play, alongside a separate sensory space with fibre optics, sensory chimes and visual equipment.

Outside, children have access to a large secure all-weather outdoor classroom, including physical play equipment, bikes and space for creative and messy activities.

And the nursery doesn't stop at its own front gate.

When opportunities arise, children are taken to the nearby park to explore and feed the ducks, as well as on visits to the local library.

Your bit

You won't be expected to reinvent early years education.

You will be expected to do the fundamentals really well:

Build secure and positive relationships with children Keep children safe and promote their wellbeing Plan meaningful teaching and learning opportunities Follow children's individual interests Support development across the EYFS Communicate properly with parents and carers Work collaboratively with your colleagues Recognise children's individual needs Maintain a stimulating and organised environment Follow safeguarding, nursery policies and procedures Contribute ideas rather than just waiting for somebody else to plan the day

The nursery's own approach centres on practitioners observing children, identifying their individual next steps and using those interests to shape both indoor and outdoor learning.

Still developing? Good.

One of the more useful parts of this vacancy is that the employer is willing to invest in practitioners rather than expecting everyone to arrive with every certificate already completed.

Their current package includes:

£27,000 to £29,000 per year Permanent, full-time employment Flexible working hours Company pension On-site parking Professional growth opportunities Subscription to EDUCARE training courses First Aid qualification Staff uniform Well-resourced and spacious working environment Large outdoor areas

That makes this particularly worth considering if you're Level 2 now and want an employer where you can keep adding to your knowledge and experience.

A good fit if...

You're qualified, dependable and actually enjoy nursery life.

You can talk to parents confidently.

You'll get involved in messy play rather than watching it from the other side of the room.

You understand that one child's next step might be learning to form a sentence while another's is simply feeling secure enough to separate from their parent.

And you're looking for somewhere you can become a stronger practitioner rather than just clocking another year of experience.

The setting is on Suttons Avenue in Hornchurch, with both Hornchurch and Elm Park Underground stations within walking distance and several bus routes stopping nearby.

If you're searching for a Level 2 Nursery Practitioner job in Hornchurch, Level 3 Early Years Practitioner role in Havering or qualified nursery job in East London, we'd love to hear from you.
