Tiny Tots Recruitment is looking for a Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a friendly independent nursery near Northallerton, North Yorkshire.
Set within the countryside on a working farm, this is a nursery with a noticeably different feel. The setting is smaller than many large urban nurseries and prides itself on creating a close-knit, home-from-home environment where practitioners can really get to know the children and families they support.
Children have access to purpose-built indoor learning rooms, multiple play spaces and a dedicated outdoor area, with the rural surroundings providing plenty of opportunities to encourage curiosity about nature and the world around them.
What you'll be doing:
Providing high-quality care and early education for children from birth to five Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS Creating engaging activities around children's interests and developmental stages Taking responsibility for a group of key children Completing observations and identifying appropriate next steps Encouraging children's confidence, communication and independence Making the most of indoor and outdoor learning opportunities Building strong relationships with parents and carers Supporting children's individual routines and emotional wellbeing Working collaboratively within a small and experienced nursery team Creating safe, stimulating and welcoming learning environments Following safeguarding, health and safety and nursery procedures Contributing ideas and enthusiasm to the wider setting
What we're looking for:
A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification Previous experience working within an early years environment A good understanding of the EYFS Strong safeguarding awareness A warm and caring approach to working with young children Someone who enjoys being outdoors and making learning practical Good communication skills with families and colleagues Reliability and a positive approach to teamwork Someone who values working within a smaller, more personal nursery environment
