Tiny Tots Recruitment is looking for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join an independent early years setting in Farnborough, Hampshire.
Caring for children from six months to five years, the nursery has created an environment where play, exploration and strong relationships are central to children's development.
The setting is privately owned and has been established for more than a decade. Connected to a local junior school, it benefits from its own private garden, access to on-site woodland and additional school facilities, giving practitioners plenty of scope to take children's learning beyond the nursery room.
What you'll be doing: Providing high-quality care and early education for children from babies through to preschool Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS Acting as a Key Person and building secure relationships with individual children Planning experiences that reflect children's interests and stages of development Combining adult-led learning with plenty of child-led exploration Completing observations and identifying meaningful next steps Encouraging children's confidence, communication and independence Making full use of the nursery's garden and outdoor learning opportunities Supporting children's emotional wellbeing and individual routines Creating stimulating and welcoming learning environments Building strong relationships with parents and carers Working collaboratively with colleagues across the nursery Supporting children with different needs and ensuring inclusive practice Maintaining excellent safeguarding, health and safety and welfare standards Taking an active role in training and continued professional development What we're looking for: A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification Previous experience within a nursery or early years setting A good practical understanding of the EYFS Strong safeguarding awareness A warm and nurturing approach to working with young children Confidence communicating with parents and colleagues Someone creative who enjoys developing activities around children's interests Good teamwork and organisational skills A genuine interest in continuing to develop professionally What's on offer: £28,000 to £30,000 per year Permanent, full-time employment Monday to Friday working Nursery closed between Christmas and New Year Independent nursery environment Private nursery garden Access to on-site woodland Access to wider school facilities Ongoing staff training and development Established and highly qualified nursery team Opportunity to work across the full early years age range Strong emphasis on practitioner development Child-centred approach combining adult-led and child-led learning
The nursery has developed its own curriculum alongside the EYFS, with particular emphasis on helping children become safe, happy, confident, independent and effective communicators before they move on to school. Practitioners are encouraged to follow children's interests, stretch their imagination and recognise that children develop at different rates and in different ways.
There is also a real focus on developing the staff team. The nursery specifically highlights practitioner development as an important part of maintaining high standards of early years education, alongside ongoing training and reflective practice.
