Tiny Tots Recruitment is looking for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming, family-run nursery in Sanderstead, South Croydon.
The setting sits within Sanderstead Recreation Ground and has direct access to both its own equipped nursery garden and the wider park. Children regularly enjoy woodland walks, outdoor play, scooter activities and opportunities to explore the natural environment around them.
Inside, the nursery has bright and spacious rooms organised around children's different ages and stages, from babies through to preschool. The atmosphere is deliberately calm, warm and homely, helping children feel secure enough to explore, investigate and develop their independence.
What you'll be doing: Providing high-quality care and early education for children Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS Acting as a Key Person and building secure relationships with your key children Planning engaging experiences around children's interests and developmental needs Completing observations and contributing to children's individual next steps Encouraging children's confidence, curiosity and independence Supporting communication, social development and emotional wellbeing Creating stimulating indoor and outdoor learning opportunities Making regular use of the nursery garden and surrounding park Building positive relationships with parents and carers Supporting children's individual routines and care needs Working collaboratively with practitioners across the nursery Promoting equality, inclusion and positive self-esteem Maintaining excellent safeguarding, health and safety and welfare standards Contributing ideas and enthusiasm to the wider nursery team What we're looking for: A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification Previous hands-on nursery or early years experience Good practical knowledge of the EYFS Strong safeguarding awareness A warm and nurturing approach to children Confidence communicating with parents and colleagues Someone enthusiastic about outdoor learning and exploration Good teamwork and organisational skills A practitioner who can use their initiative and recognise learning opportunities as they happen A genuine commitment to helping children feel safe, valued and confident What's on offer: £30,000 to £32,500 per year Permanent, full-time employment Family-run nursery environment Free on-site parking Bright and spacious nursery rooms Direct access to an equipped nursery garden Regular use of the surrounding recreation ground Nature walks and outdoor learning opportunities Nursery closure between Christmas and New Year Supportive and experienced nursery team Home-from-home working environment Excellent transport links nearby
