Tiny Tots Recruitment is looking for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join an established early years setting in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
The nursery has a strong family feel and a team that includes practitioners who have been with the setting for many years. Staff development is taken seriously, with formal training complemented by additional learning linked to the needs and interests of the children currently attending.
The approach is genuinely child-centred. Practitioners are encouraged to listen, observe and recognise where children's interests are leading rather than relying on a rigid programme of pre-planned activities.
What you'll be doing: Providing high-quality care and early education for children Supporting learning and development in line with the EYFS Planning opportunities around children's interests and individual development Taking responsibility for a group of key children Completing observations and identifying meaningful next steps Extending children's learning naturally through play and conversation Encouraging confidence, creativity, communication and independence Building positive relationships with parents and carers Creating stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments Supporting children with additional needs through inclusive practice Working closely with Room Leaders and other practitioners Maintaining excellent safeguarding, welfare and health and safety standards Taking an active part in training and continued professional development What we're looking for: A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification Previous experience within a nursery or early years setting Good practical knowledge of the EYFS Strong safeguarding awareness A warm, responsive and child-focused approach Confidence building relationships with children and families Good communication and teamwork skills Someone observant, creative and willing to follow children's interests A practitioner who wants to continue developing professionally What's on offer: £27,000 to £29,000 per year Permanent, full-time employment Childcare benefits Employee discount Company pension Free parking Cycle to Work scheme Health and wellbeing programme Referral programme Formal training and continued professional development Experienced and long-standing nursery team Annual safeguarding refresher training Specialist SEND support Opportunities to develop within a wider childcare organisation
