Tiny Tots Recruitment is looking for an experienced Level 3 Nursery Room Leader to join a well-established early years setting in Stockport.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a family-run nursery that has been caring for children in the local area for more than 25 years. Set within private countryside in the heart of Stockport, the nursery offers a relaxed, homely environment with plenty of fresh air and outdoor space for children to enjoy.
As Room Leader, you'll take responsibility for your room while remaining actively involved with the children. You'll support your team, maintain high standards and make sure the environment offers varied and stimulating opportunities for children to learn, play and develop.
What you'll be doing:
Leading and supporting the practitioners within your nursery room Delegating responsibilities effectively across the team Creating a happy, safe and stimulating environment for children Planning varied learning and play opportunities in line with the EYFS Supporting children's individual development and learning needs Overseeing observations, assessments and appropriate next steps Helping set goals for your team and supporting colleagues to achieve them Building positive relationships with parents and carers Liaising professionally with outside agencies where required Supporting practitioners with their development and confidence Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and children's welfare Working closely with nursery management to ensure the room runs smoothly Continuing to develop your own knowledge through training and CPD
What we're looking for:
A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification as a minimum Previous nursery or early years experience Around two years of Room Leader experience would be advantageous Strong working knowledge of the EYFS A good understanding of planning and assessment Excellent communication skills Confidence leading and delegating to a team A positive and approachable leadership style A genuine commitment to children's care, wellbeing and development Someone willing to continue developing professionally
