Tiny Tots Recruitment is looking for an experienced Nursery Manager to lead an established nursery and preschool in Culham, near Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

The nursery has built a strong reputation locally for high-quality early education and has a large, highly qualified team supporting children from three months through to school age. The purpose-built environment includes extensive outdoor space, mature trees and dedicated Forest School provision, with children encouraged to spend meaningful time outside throughout the year.

As Nursery Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the quality, culture and day-to-day running of the setting. You will lead an experienced team, support the development of senior practitioners and ensure children continue to receive exceptional care and learning experiences.

What you'll be doing: Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the nursery Leading, motivating and developing the nursery leadership and practitioner teams Creating a positive working culture where staff feel supported, challenged and valued Maintaining high standards of care, education and safeguarding Ensuring practice remains fully aligned with the EYFS and regulatory requirements Monitoring the quality of teaching, learning and children's experiences across the setting Supporting Room Leaders and senior practitioners with their own leadership development Managing staffing, deployment and the smooth organisation of the nursery day Leading staff supervision, performance management and professional development Supporting recruitment, induction and retention Building strong and professional partnerships with parents and carers Maintaining excellent safeguarding and child protection practice Ensuring policies, procedures and statutory requirements are consistently followed Supporting children with additional needs and promoting inclusive practice Driving continuous improvement across the setting Preparing confidently for Ofsted and other regulatory activity Working closely with the wider organisation to support the continued development of the nursery What we're looking for: A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification as a minimum Significant nursery or early years experience Previous Nursery Manager or substantial Deputy Nursery Manager experience Strong working knowledge of the EYFS Excellent safeguarding and child protection knowledge Proven experience leading and developing a nursery team Confidence managing staffing, quality and operational responsibilities Strong communication and relationship-building skills The ability to develop other early years leaders A calm, organised and solutions-focused approach Someone who sets high standards while remaining approachable and visible within the nursery A genuine passion for children's learning and development What's on offer: £40,000 to £48,000 per year Permanent, full-time employment Company pension Employee discount Staff childcare benefits Free on-site parking Discounted or free food Free flu vaccinations Ongoing CPD and professional development Regular team training Company and staff events Employee recognition incentives Support from an experienced wider nursery team Purpose-built early years environment Extensive outdoor learning provision Dedicated Forest School opportunities
