Tiny Tots Recruitment is looking for an experienced Nursery Room Leader to join a modern, purpose-built early years setting in Godalming, Surrey.
This is a permanent, full-time position for a confident Level 3 qualified practitioner who enjoys leading people, developing great practice and still being completely involved in children's everyday experiences.
The nursery takes a child-centred approach to early education, with practitioners encouraged to follow children's interests, create stimulating environments and combine adult-led experiences with plenty of child-initiated learning.
You'll take ownership of your room while working closely with the nursery's wider leadership team to make sure children receive consistently excellent care and education.
What you'll be doing: Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of your nursery room Leading, motivating and supporting practitioners within your team Creating an environment where children feel safe, confident and excited to explore Ensuring practice across the room reflects the EYFS Supporting planning around children's interests and developmental needs Overseeing observations, assessments and children's next steps Coaching practitioners and helping them develop their confidence and knowledge Organising staff effectively throughout the nursery day Building strong partnerships with parents and carers Supporting children with additional needs and promoting inclusive practice Encouraging outdoor learning throughout the year Maintaining excellent safeguarding, welfare and health and safety standards Working closely with nursery management to maintain quality across the setting Contributing ideas and helping shape the continued development of the nursery What we're looking for: A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification as a minimum At least one year of experience within an early years leadership position Previous Room Leader, Deputy Room Leader or Senior Practitioner experience Strong working knowledge of the EYFS A good understanding of child development Excellent safeguarding knowledge Confidence completing observations and supporting effective planning The ability to motivate and develop other practitioners Strong communication and organisational skills A positive, approachable and hands-on leadership style What's on offer: £32,000 to £35,000 per year Permanent, full-time employment 38 hours per week Monday to Friday working £1,500 bonus following successful probation, subject to terms 28 days holiday with the opportunity to earn 2 additional paid days Paid half-day off for your birthday Childcare discount Contributory company pension Annual pay review £750 employee referral incentive Qualification reward payments Free flu vaccination Free staff parking Health and wellbeing app Counselling and wellbeing support Unlimited access to accredited online CPD training Internal and external professional development Twice-yearly company events Genuine career progression opportunities
