Tiny Tots Recruitment is looking for an experienced Nursery Room Leader to join an established early years setting in West Drayton, West London.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week, with 8-hour shifts arranged between 7:15am and 6:30pm.

The nursery has been part of the local community for many years and follows a clear philosophy that children learn best through play, exploration and having fun. Activities are regularly changed and adapted so children can discover new interests, make independent choices and develop at their own pace.

As Room Leader, you will have the opportunity to shape how that approach works within your room while supporting the practitioners around you to deliver consistently strong early years practice.

What you'll be doing: Taking responsibility for the day-to-day organisation of your nursery room Leading, supporting and motivating practitioners within the team Maintaining high standards of care, learning and children's wellbeing Ensuring practice remains firmly aligned with the EYFS Creating stimulating experiences based around children's interests and development Overseeing observations, assessments and individual next steps Supporting practitioners with their confidence, knowledge and professional development Organising staff effectively and helping the room run smoothly throughout the day Building strong relationships with parents and carers Encouraging children's independence, communication and social development Making full use of indoor and outdoor learning opportunities Supporting children to explore sensory, creative and imaginative play Ensuring excellent safeguarding and child protection practice Maintaining a safe, organised and welcoming room environment Working closely with nursery management to develop quality across the setting Leading by example and creating a positive culture within your team What we're looking for: A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification Strong experience working within a nursery or early years setting Previous Room Leader, Senior Practitioner or similar leadership experience Good practical knowledge of the EYFS Excellent safeguarding awareness Confidence supervising and supporting other practitioners Strong organisational skills Good communication with children, parents and colleagues A positive and approachable leadership style Someone who enjoys getting involved with children rather than managing the room from the sidelines A genuine interest in developing both their own practice and the practitioners around them What's on offer: £30,000 to £31,500 per year Permanent, full-time employment 40-hour working week 8-hour shifts Company pension scheme Company discount scheme Staff uniform provided Staff incentives Staff referral scheme Regular supervision and management support Continued training and development Online learning External courses Face-to-face and hands-on training Career progression opportunities across three nursery settings Regular staff meetings Optional staff get-togethers Strong focus on work-life balance Open-door management culture
