Qualified Nursery Practitioner

Raynes Park, London full time Permanent

£28,142 to £30,410 per year

Join a welcoming nursery team in Raynes Park as a Qualified Nursery Practitioner, earning £28,142 to £30,410 per year plus a £1,000 welcome bonus. Expect plenty of outdoor learning, Forest School experiences, strong employee benefits and real opportunities to develop your career.

If you’re going to spend your working week helping children grow, you deserve a nursery that invests in your growth too.

Tiny Tots Recruitment is looking for a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join a well-established nursery in Raynes Park.

This is a full-time opportunity for someone who enjoys getting properly involved in nursery life - whether that means setting up an activity based on something the children suddenly become fascinated by, heading outside for Forest School, reassuring a little one on a difficult morning or celebrating those small developmental milestones that make early years such a rewarding career.

What makes this setting different?

The nursery offers much more than four walls and a standard daily routine.

Children have access to a spacious all-weather garden alongside Forest School sessions, arts and crafts areas, music and movement, sports activities and regular outings into the local community.

The setting follows a child-focused curriculum influenced by elements of the Curiosity Approach, using natural resources and children's interests to encourage independence, creativity and exploration.

You’ll be encouraged to bring your own ideas to the room rather than feeling like every activity has already been decided for you.

Your role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you’ll:

Provide high-quality care for children throughout the nursery day Build strong bonds with your key children Plan experiences based around individual interests and developmental needs Support learning and development in line with the EYFS Complete observations and maintain accurate records Create interesting and inviting play opportunities Encourage independence, communication and confidence Work closely with parents and carers Support children during outdoor learning and community outings Maintain high standards of safeguarding, hygiene and safety Work collaboratively with Room Leaders and the wider nursery team What we're looking for

You’ll need a full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.

We’d particularly like to hear from practitioners who:

Enjoy being actively involved with the children Understand the EYFS and how children learn through play Have good safeguarding knowledge Communicate confidently with families Work well as part of a team Bring energy, reliability and ideas into their room

Whether you’ve spent several years in the sector or you’re relatively early into your qualified early years career, there’s room here to keep developing.

Salary

£28,142 to £30,410 per year

Salary will depend on your experience and qualifications and is supported by regular pay reviews.

You'll also receive a £1,000 welcome bonus, subject to the employer's terms and conditions.

A benefits package that actually adds something

Alongside your salary, benefits include:

33 days’ annual leave including bank holidays Christmas shutdown period Additional wellbeing day Flexible working opportunities Generous childcare discount Company pension contributions Sick pay from your first day Life assurance 24-hour remote GP appointments Cashback towards dental care and physiotherapy Retail, supermarket, cinema and gym discounts Enhanced maternity and adoption benefits Enhanced paternity leave Paid compassionate and bereavement leave Employee referral rewards Regular training and development Recognition schemes Opportunities to progress into senior practitioner, room leadership and management positions Easy to reach

The nursery is conveniently positioned close to Raynes Park railway station and local bus routes, making it accessible from Wimbledon and surrounding areas of South West London.

The setting is also rated Good by Ofsted and has an established early years team.

If you’re qualified in early years and want somewhere that combines a supportive team with variety, outdoor learning and genuine progression, this is well worth exploring.

Apply today and Tiny Tots Recruitment will be in touch to discuss the opportunity with you.
