Tiny Tots Recruitment is looking for a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join a well-established nursery in Taunton.
This is a large, welcoming setting with a genuinely varied environment for both children and practitioners. There are eight bright playrooms, three outdoor gardens and Forest School opportunities, meaning you won’t spend every day doing exactly the same thing in the same room.
What could your day involve?
You might be:
Supporting your key children through their individual learning and development Setting up sensory, creative or investigative activities Heading into the garden for outdoor learning Getting involved in Forest School sessions Helping children grow vegetables and explore the natural world Supporting cooking and food-based activities Encouraging speech, language and communication Completing observations and development records Building strong relationships with parents and carers Supporting children with routines, transitions and emotional development Working alongside your Room Leader and wider nursery team Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and welfare
The nursery also offers activities including Sing and Sign, Boogie Mites, yoga, cooking, outdoor exploration and local community outings.
What we're looking for
You’ll need a full and relevant Level 2 Early Years qualification or above.
More importantly, we’re looking for someone who enjoys being actively involved with children and understands that good early years practice is about much more than simply getting through the daily routine.
You should be:
Caring and approachable Confident working within the EYFS Knowledgeable about safeguarding Comfortable communicating with families Reliable and able to work well within a team Happy to bring ideas and enthusiasm into the setting Salary
£26,437 to £28,018 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Regular pay reviews are also available.

The setting
The nursery is based in Taunton, with easy access to the M5 and ample on-site parking.
Children benefit from three separate garden spaces, mud kitchens, vegetable growing, Forest School activities and a wide variety of age-appropriate learning environments.
The setting’s latest Ofsted inspection in March 2026 resulted in an Expected standard overall, with a Strong standard for behaviour, attitudes and establishing routines. Inspectors highlighted children’s confidence, curiosity, positive behaviour and growing independence.
