Tiny Tots Recruitment is looking for a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join an established independent nursery in Shepperton, Surrey.

Located in a peaceful setting next to a large park, the nursery has an unusually strong focus on outdoor learning. Children have access to generous garden spaces, natural resources, growing areas and outdoor provision throughout the year, with fresh air, movement and exploration forming an important part of nursery life.

Inside, children are supported across dedicated environments from babies through to preschool, with practitioners encouraged to create stimulating experiences while recognising each child's individual personality, interests and stage of development.

What you'll be doing: Providing warm, responsive and high-quality care throughout the nursery day Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS Acting as a Key Person for a group of children Building secure relationships with children and getting to know their individual needs Creating engaging adult-led and child-initiated learning experiences Extending children's play to support learning and development Encouraging children's independence and self-help skills Supporting children's emotional wellbeing and providing reassurance when needed Making full use of the nursery's extensive outdoor environment Completing observations and contributing to children's individual learning journeys Building strong partnerships with parents and carers Supporting children's personal care and everyday routines Working collaboratively with colleagues across the nursery Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, hygiene and children's welfare Bringing energy, initiative and ideas into the nursery day What we're looking for: A recognised Early Years or Childcare qualification Previous nursery or early years experience A good understanding of the EYFS Strong safeguarding awareness Someone active, enthusiastic and happy to get involved in children's play A warm and nurturing approach Good communication skills with children, parents and colleagues Someone able to use their initiative rather than waiting to be directed A reliable team player A genuine passion for helping young children develop and thrive What's on offer: £26,500 to £28,000 per year Permanent employment Full-time position Set working rota Same weekday off each week for full-time staff Up to 33 days' annual leave including bank holidays An additional day off for your birthday Up to £500 new starter bonus, subject to terms Additional bonus scheme Discounted staff childcare Company pension Free uniform Free DBS check Funded training Ongoing early years development and mentoring Paid breaks in addition to your lunch break, subject to working hours Discounted meals Free on-site parking
