We're recruiting for an established nursery in Wimbledon looking for an experienced early years professional to take responsibility for one of its rooms and become an important part of the wider nursery team.
You'll have the freedom to bring ideas into the room, support your practitioners and make sure children are receiving consistently high-quality care and learning opportunities.
This could suit an existing Room Leader looking for a better environment, or a strong Senior Nursery Practitioner who already takes responsibility within their room and is ready for the formal step up.
What you'll be doing Leading the day-to-day running of your room Supporting, guiding and motivating practitioners within the team Maintaining high standards of care, learning and safeguarding Ensuring practice remains in line with the EYFS Helping staff develop their confidence and early years knowledge Allocating key children appropriately and supporting effective key-person practice Monitoring observations, planning and children's development Building positive relationships with parents and carers Ensuring the room remains organised, stimulating and welcoming Working closely with the nursery's wider management team Supporting staff deployment and maintaining appropriate ratios What we're looking for
You'll need a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above, alongside good practical knowledge of the EYFS.
Previous experience leading or taking additional responsibility within a nursery room would be ideal. Just as importantly, we're looking for someone who can communicate well, support colleagues and create a positive atmosphere for both children and staff.
Salary and benefits
£29,952 to £31,200 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, with regular pay reviews.
