Tiny Tots Recruitment is looking for a Third-In-Charge to join an established nursery in Wimbledon.
You’ll sit between the room leadership and senior management team, giving you the opportunity to build wider leadership experience while still remaining actively involved in nursery life.
What you'll be doing
Your week will be varied, with responsibilities including:
Supporting the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager Helping oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery Leading and motivating practitioners across the setting Supporting staff deployment and nursery ratios Coaching and developing less experienced team members Maintaining high standards of safeguarding Ensuring practice remains consistent with the EYFS Supporting planning and children's development Helping maintain strong relationships with parents and carers Supporting the induction of new team members Helping management maintain high standards across all rooms Taking additional responsibility when senior management are unavailable
You’ll have enough responsibility to develop your management skills properly, without suddenly being expected to run the entire nursery alone.
The setting
The nursery is based in Wimbledon, just a short walk from Wimbledon station, making it particularly convenient for candidates travelling across South West London.
It is rated Good by Ofsted and has a long-standing early years team.

Who we're looking for
You’ll need a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
This could suit:
An existing Third-In-Charge An experienced Room Leader looking for progression A strong Senior Nursery Practitioner already taking on additional leadership duties
You should be confident supporting colleagues, communicating with families and maintaining standards across a busy nursery.
Previous leadership experience within an early years setting is strongly preferred.
Salary
£30,264 to £34,000 per year
Salary will depend on experience and qualifications, with regular pay reviews.
You’ll also receive a £1,000 welcome bonus, subject to the employer's terms and conditions.
