Candidates
Looking for a permanent early years role
Tell us what you are looking for and we will be straight with you about whether we can find it. Every role we place is permanent, so you are joining a team and settling into a room of your own, not picking up shifts. Registering costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
Permanent only
Why permanent, and not agency shifts
You get a team, not a rota
Shift work puts you in a different room most weeks, with children who do not know you and colleagues who never quite learn your name. A permanent post is the same children and the same team, which is the only way a key person relationship means anything.
Somebody has a reason to develop you
Nobody funds a temp's qualification. A setting that has hired you permanently has a reason to put you through your Level 3, pay for paediatric first aid, and think about who is leading the room next year.
Compare the package, not the hourly rate
A shift rate can look better on the day. Holiday pay, sick pay, pension contributions and an annual review are all part of a permanent post and none of them come with a shift. Work out the year, not the week.
Process
What happens after you register
No part of this costs you anything.
We call you, within one working day
A conversation, not a form-filling exercise. What you are qualified to, what you are doing now, and what would have to be true for you to move.
We tell you honestly what is out there
Including when the answer is that we have nothing for you right now. That is a better outcome than being strung along, and it costs us a candidate we would rather keep.
Nothing is sent without your say-so
Your CV does not go to a setting until you have said yes to that setting by name. This matters most if your current manager does not know you are looking.
You hear what the setting is actually like
The room, the team, why the post is open, and what the last person in it said on the way out. You should not need an interview to learn any of that.
We stay in touch after you start
A placement that quietly falls apart in month two helps nobody, least of all the children who have just got used to you. We would rather hear early that it is not what you were told it would be.
What registering gets you
A proper conversation with somebody who knows the difference between a Level 3 and a Level 2 in ratio, and who has usually stood in the setting being discussed. We will tell you what a role really pays before you take a day off to interview for it, and what the room is genuinely like before you say yes to it.
What we will ask you for
Your qualification level and where you took it, where you are looking and what hours you need, and an honest answer about why you are leaving. The last one matters most: it is what stops us sending you somewhere with the same problem. The setting runs the formal checks itself, so your DBS and references will come from them, not from us.
Things you will not have to worry about
We will not send your CV anywhere without asking you first. We will not push you towards a role because it happens to be the one we need to fill. And we will not offer you shift work, because we do not have any to offer.
Pay
What these roles actually pay
We publish a full 2026 band for every role we recruit, with the method printed next to it, so you can check an offer against something before you accept it.

The questions nursery managers actually ask, including the safeguarding ones, with what a strong answer sounds like and the mistakes that cost people the job.
CareersWhat Can You Do With a Level 3 in Early Years?
The Level 3 is the licence to practise in early years. What it unlocks in ratio, what it is worth in salary, and the four routes out of it.

Three job titles, one job. What each one means, which qualification counts in ratio, and why the advert you are reading probably uses the title you did not search for.
Common questions
Questions we are asked
Does it cost me anything to register?
No. An employment agency cannot lawfully charge a work-seeker a fee for finding them work, and we do not charge for anything else either. No registration fee, no CV service, no charge of any kind at any point.
Do you have bank or agency shifts?
No, we only work on permanent roles. If it is cover shifts or bank work you are after, an agency with a temp desk will look after you far better than we could, and it is worth going straight to one. If you are looking for a permanent job with a room and a team of your own, that is exactly what we do.
What if I am not Level 3 yet?
Register anyway. Plenty of settings will take a Level 2 who is working towards Level 3, and some will fund it. Tell us where you are and we will be straight with you about what that opens and what it does not.
Will my current employer find out I am looking?
Not from us. Your CV goes to a named setting only once you have agreed to that setting, and we do not circulate profiles speculatively.
How long does it usually take?
It depends entirely on your area, your qualification and how specific you are being about hours. We would rather tell you a realistic timeframe on the first call than a flattering one.
Which areas do you cover?
The whole of the UK. Bear in mind that Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland run separate early years frameworks from England, so the qualification and ratio rules differ.
